Agent18 | So excited about this one! Our good friends out at Agent18, quietly makin' kick-ass accessories for all your
tech gear for a few years now, decided it was time for a major rebranding. And while it wasn't personal between us and Eurostile, we all agreed the fat, wide, secret-spy type that made up their wordmark just wasn't right any more. It's more
like this "agent" isn't so undercover anymore, but instead is finally ready to step into the light as a leader in their industry.
A sleek, modern agent of cool. Check out their new website, too. Lookin' sweet!
Las Vegas Air | If we could fly an airline specifically by, for, and about all things Vegas (here's lookin' at you LV Air!), here
are a few ideas for the kind of bad-ass branding we'd like to see. Just sayin.'
OnCare Services | Web-based child care management. Secure, simple, sweet. You know, kinda like a like a Koala.
Action America | In partnership with our friends over at Kirshenbaum, we recently developed the identity for an amazing national effort getting kicked off this year on the tenth anniversary of 9/11. The idea is to reclaim this day as a day to give back instead of looking back, take action, volunteer, etc. Look for a national campaign to go live next month via AOL and other partners... and head over to their site to find out about events and getting involved!
Yep, that's right. Our numbers guy. | The story here is a simple one: When your CPA says, "Hey, can you guys design something for me?" you say YES. You also say "yesssss" when you realize that his initials are one and the same as the abbreviation for "Numbers." Awesome.
Millson | We're so excited to share the new identity for our first and only Canadian client, Millson! If you've never heard of them, we highly suggest a cruise through their website. They're poised for mind-blowing technological world domination. That's all we'll say for now. Stay tuned for lots, lots more from our amazing partnership with this unbelievably innovative, creative, whole-hearted team of Vancouver-based brainiacs.
The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls | The awesome rise of Beacon continues! We spent the spring focusing on identity
and collateral for their stunning new live/work units... But now have completed a beautiful mark for the full "campus" of
this incredible development project going on with exciting, frenzied progress every day in Beacon, NY. Inspired by the shape of the historic Roundhouse building itself, the rushing water it looks down on, and the sleek, modern aesthetic
these guys seek to bring to an already super cool, artsy town.
The Fund for Reconciliation & Peace | In September 2009, Leonard Cohen performed a concert in Israel honoring 400 bereaved Palestinians and Israelis, all of whom had lost an immediate family member in the conflict. Despite their personal tragedies, all of them strive for peace in their lifetime and all of them work on a daily basis to achieve it by reaching out to the other side. Moving? Amazing? Heroic? Just a little.
That concert evolved into an incredibly inspiring non-profit. Working with our friend Eitan in Tel Aviv, we provided the logo love along with a complete brand identity. The Fund's website just launched and other components will be making their way into the world soon. Here's to peace in the Middle East!
Frost & Justice | You may call it just a fundraiser... We call it brilliant. The Beacon Theatre team has discovered
an amazing story about the founding of Beacon, NY having something to do with... well, beer! And this June you
can taste that original recipe in a custom, commemorative pint glass, all for the good cause of keeping our beautiful
Beacon Theatre restoration project going strong. Happy to be part of another great project upstate.

The Lofts at Beacon Falls | Over the creek and through the woods from The Rabe & Co. upstate office (AKA Liz's loft in Beacon, NY), a whole campus of old factory buildings are being converted into live/work spaces, an event space, a hotel and a restaurant. And while the industrial history is being preserved and celebrated, every aspect of the renovations are impressively green. Needless to say, we're crazy excited to be involved in another kick-ass project in this booming little upstate river town that we love. First up? A lock-up for the the artist live/work units.
UPDATE... We recently completed the first application of this logo -- a collateral piece for interested buyers. Click through for photos.
RFA Brands | What can we say about RFA Brands? That they're Really F***ing Awesome? That we basically spent the holidays with them? How about this: Born in 2010, RFA Brands is a new division of Homedics, Inc. And this month they'll debut a starting line-up of protective, powerful, and sustainable products at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas, all lookin' slick with Rabe & Co. branding, graphics, packaging, etc. Look out for this stuff later this year at a store near you...
recase | 100% recycled/recyclable cases for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Macbooks, Samsung Galaxys
udrop | heavy-duty protective cases for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Macbooks, Samsung Galaxys
powerbag | kick-ass chargeable backpacks and messenger bags with built-in apple jacks and other power cords
myCharge | smartphone, etc. cases and external attachments that act as back up battery power
UPDATE... Click through brand images below to see pics of them in action at CES!
HMDX | A great-sounding line of affordable audio electronics made by parent company Homedics, Inc., the HMDX logo needed an upgrade for a new year, a new line of bright, fun products, and a new generation of listeners.
City of San Francisco's "K2C" Program | K2C, short for Kindergarten to College, is a massive new initiative out in progressive-as-always San Francisco that will see savings accounts opened for every single kindergartener enrolled
in public schools, all in the name of tackling those rising-as-always college tuitions. Amazing! We're so honored to be involved in this project. Stay tuned for more info. (And posters and official website!) In the meantime, click here to see
the super charming young mayor launch the program at a kindergarten-style press conference.
The Beacon Theatre | A few months ago, we read in the paper that someone finally bought the beautiful old theatre on Main Street in Beacon, NY, and we were so excited! I live there now (Liz here) and Ken grew up about 15 minutes away. So we sent a congrats email to the guys at 4th Wall Productions for their purchase and vision and of course threw in a
let us know if you need anything, we love Beacon and we love old type and you know, helping out on good projects...
And voila! An amazing collaboration was born. When this work goes up on the newly restored theatre's marquee and glass doors, check back for pictures of Ken and I admiring it from lawn chairs across the street. Drinking champagne.
And crying a little.
Bing.com's BICI Analytics | Think that's a mouthful? Try wrapping your head around it. BICI is a division of Microsoft
(via Bing.com) and stands for Business Intelligence Consumer Intelligence. Their mission is to "bring data to the masses and make data-driven decision making a reality." To explain this more would require an entirely new section of our site,
involving so many colorful charts and spreadsheets your monitor would explode. So we simply present you with the logo
we did for them, that they loved! Rock on BICI. May you continue to blow our minds.
Liberty Coin & Precious Metals | Amazing home to rare items, including coins from the last 2500 years. That is not a typo! They also sell all kinds of old jewelry, autographs, paper money, military items, etc. With a history like that, and a name like "Liberty," I mean come on: a shield, a banner, and some gold leaves were in order. These people are solid.
HardBat Classic | Hardbat table tennis is an old school style of the classic game, played with wooden paddles instead of modern-day sponge paddles. Produced with Radical Media, Ken was the lead designer in creating complete graphic identity system, as well as a full campaign of multimedia promotions, including a web site, print ads and a complete range of social media extensions. Radical also partnered with K-Swiss to create HardBat Classic branded apparel, and with Killerspin to create their own line of table tennis paddles, the tournament tables themselves, and the award medals.
All featured the new mark.
Tommy Hilfiger 5th Avenue | To celebrate the opening of the Tommy Hilfiger 5th Avenue global flagship store, they asked us to create a mark for a one-of-a-kind spectacular featuring the Soul Tigers marching band. Logo and applications for the event below; watch video over in our video section. Produced with Radical Media.
Oblong Industries | You know in Minority Report when Tom Cruise operates that giant computer screen with his hands? That's Oblong Industries technology. They're about as high-tech as it gets. Which is why we wanted to introduce them to a more human, approachable, low-tech look. Because an operating system built around real human movement is some seriously fun, sexy science. Available for home delivery by truck? We thought yes.
NASA Juno Mission | Proposed logos for NASA's "Juno" Mission. They're launching a spacecraft in 2011 to go on a crazy-extensive, super-long journey to study Jupiter. And damnit, we wanted our s*** in outer space!
Square Deal Wine Company | Portland, Oregon based Square Deal Wine Co. focuses on small estate wines,
"mom and pop" wineries, and farmstand vineyards. We developed a logo, icons to help navigate the website
and store, and also thought it'd be great for them to have logo-patterned tissue paper to wrap up that special
bottle with.
Pediatric Dental Group | Portland, Oregon based Pediatric Dental Group has been specializing in family dentristy for young people for over 37 years. And recently they realized they needed a logo with a little bit more "bite!" WOW.
Chapman Skateboards | Logo for Chapman Skateboards. Based on Long Island, The Chapman brothers have been manufacturing boards for some of the biggest brands in the industry for almost twenty years. So when it was time to launch their own company, they wanted to stay true to the history of the handmade and genuine craftsmanship. Like something you could pull off the hood of a '57 Chevy. We've included the alt logos. And the stationery set can be seen here.
Stoked Mentoring | Stoked is a non-profit, action-sports organization that pairs mentors with "at-risk" youth and engages them in the core board sports (snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing). Creating a positive environment and a foundation for teens, Stoked believes that counterculture can change the world.
